In addition to our Recruitment and Contract Personnel services, our INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONSULTING DIVISION offers two main thrusts, namely, development of American trade in the U.K. and Japan. In the one area, our U.K. office is engaged in assisting U.S. companies locate their subsidiaries in the U.K. We will provide an analysis of suitable sites to locate plants or offices in the U.K. and advise clients about the availability of soft loans, grants etc. We can also help to develop and process the paperwork for such grants with the proper U.K. authorities.
Secondly, we have been retained as consultants for more than twelve years by one of Japan's largest corporations. We assist their local offices to identify and negotiate distribution, joint ventures, and licensing agreements with American companies, whose products may have potential in the Japanese market. We are continually seeking American companies who have unique, high quality emerging products in the U.S. marketplace that could also be sold in Japan. These products could be in almost any category including non-invasive medical diagnostic devices, communications, multimedia, aerospace, electronics, automotive and many more.
We have an executive training course, PROJECT JAPAN which is designed to help Western companies to negotiate effectively with the Japanese. We also accept assignments to analyze problems that companies may be experiencing with their current Japanese partners, or distributors etc. In fact, we recently completed an assignment for an American company that is a holder of the Malcom Baldridge Quality Award and who had been in the Japanese market since 1975, but, were losing market share. Our recommendations proved to be right on target!
