GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • You will manage, guide, audit & coordinate the work of the engineering & product development teams.
  • Emphasis will be on developing new products & solutions, and on meeting budget and schedule restraints.
  • You will be participating in making decisions, affecting the entire business unit. 
  • You will lead your team in developing & implementing engineering plans & objectives. Areas of responsibility will include electrical, mechanical, I&C, and design engineering.
  • You will coordinate and direct project activities including staffing and staff assignments.
  • You will determine project scope and/or definition; conduct economic, technical or productivity feasibility studies.
  • You will be developing work plans, project schedules & cost estimates.
  • You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining engineering standards, techniques, data analyses and interpretations. 
  • You will need to coach, mentor, and advise your team members and subordinates on technical issues, priorities and methodologies.
  • Monitor project status and activity, ensuring conformance to standards and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience .

  • Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering and preferable a PE. Must have in-depth knowledge of advanced Engineering techniques, technical standards & requirements.
  • Must have 10+ years of progressive responsibility in Engineering. Must also have a strong background in water or wastewater industry.

Engineering Technical Manager

Position requires four-year degree and 2 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor and 5 years as an engineer in a ship building environment. Candidate should be able to supervise engineers, be able to lead all technical and quality functions in a marine manufacturing plant and be able to implement technical management practices. Candidates should have experience and knowledge of all areas. Excellent benefits and competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Naval Architect

Position requires a B.S. in Naval Architecture or related engineering field. 8-10 years of experience in vessel design preferred. Will be responsible for developing naval architecture, structural and system calculations to support vessel design team. Must be able to develop work packages and interface with designers. Strong analytical and communication skill required.

Mechanical Engineer

Position requires a B.S. in Marine Engineering or related engineering field. Minimum 5-10 years of experience desired. Experience in design of marine piping and mechanical systems and knowledge of Cayman Islands or U.S. Flag and class society rules required. Must be able to develop work packages and interface with designers to support vessel design team. Strong analytical and communication skills required.

Project Engineers

Position requires a B.S. in Naval Architecture or related engineering field. Minimum 5 -10 years experience in managing vessel design activities. Must be able to lead and motivate project teams to produce a quality product on time and within budget. Yacht design and styling experience a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Company is seeking an experienced electric motor repair Shop Manager for our Augusta, GA facility. Founded in 1921, Company has grown to become one of the largest rotating equipment repair houses and major distributors in the country. Our corporate headquarters are located in FL and currently have 14 shop locations throughout FL & GA. Our primary business focus is in motor repair but also includes pumps, generators, blowers, compressors, etc. We are also the largest XXXX generator distributor in the world.

Plant in GA was built in 2000 and has approx 30,000 sq. ft., 15 employees, 7 ft VPI tank, climate controlled winding room, up to 10,000hp, & 20-ton overhead crane.

Company is seeking the right individual to manage the Augusta assets for growth. Desire a long-term commitment, the successful candidate should posses the skills and have a proven, illustratable, results driven history in the electrical apparatus repair industry, to manage the functional disciplines of shop operations, engineering, sales & marketing, and finance.
